Women in STEM event
ASPIRE community,This is a reminder about next Wednesday’s Women in STEM event, where we will host three women professionals who have chosen to pursue careers besides academia with their high level degrees. If you haven’t already, please send your questions in for the panel discussion today or tomorrow; we would like to give the panelists as much time as possible to brainstorm their answers. The panelists’ bios are attached. There is space left for this event and it is open to non-ASPIRE students; please share with other students who might be interested in a casual discussion on career options and women in STEM.Event details are below. Please RSVP to mletman@dal.ca.The event will take place at The Nook at 2118 Gottingen St. Doors will open at 7pm and snacks will be provided. The bar will be open but you are responsible for paying for your own drinks. Below is a schedule for the event:7-7:30 – time for mingling and eating, order a drink at the bar (if desired)7:30-9 – panel discussion with Elizabeth, Léa, and Terra9 – 10 – time for more chatting and nibbling after the discussion
The event will run from 7-9, but we have booked the space until 10 so there will be lots of time for casual chatting and networking after the panel discussion.
Please RSVP to mletman@dal.ca if you will be attending this event. We would like to open up attendance to students interested in this topic who are not in the ASPIRE program - PIs, if you have other students who may be interested, please encourage them to email.
