Dr. Rob Jamieson, P.Eng, is a Full Professor in the Civil and Resources Engineering Department at Dalhousie University. He received his doctoral degree in 2004 from the University of Guelph. Dr. Jamieson holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Cold Regions Ecological Engineering and has established an internationally recognized research program in ecological engineering and contaminant hydrology. He is currently leading a newly funded NSERC CREATE graduate student training program focused on aquatic ecosystem restoration (ASPIRE). Dr. Jamieson has served on numerous advisory boards and technical committees, including serving as Chair of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Technical Sub-Committee which has been tasked with developing a new standard for wastewater system design for northern regions, the Board of Examiners for Engineers Nova Scotia and the BNQ/CSA Technical Committee for standards for the testing and evaluation of residential wastewater treatment systems.
