ASPIRE Hosts their first NSERC CREATE graduate student training seminar

“Yesterday, the ASPIRE program was excited to host their first NSERC CREATE graduate student training seminar.  Stephanie Coady and Mary Jenkins from the Emera Human Resources Centre for Excellence in Talent Acquisition hosted a job preparation workshop for their graduate students. Topics of the workshop included resume building tips, job searching tips, interview prep, and maximining internship experiences.  The true spirit behind Dalhousie University’s Emera IDEA building—where they were hosting this workshop—and of the ASPIRE program, were perfectly captured with the job-prep workshop. These sorts of industry-research collaborations will inevitably strengthen local industry-academic networks and our economy in Atlantic Canada with home-grown technical talent in the environmental restoration sector.”
